Induction lock symbol: child lock, cleaning lock or pause?

Identify the full model and displayed state before trying random button combinations. Child lock, cleaning-control lock and pause may have different functions and release conditions.

Record the exact display and model

Take a safe display photo and find the same state in the manual. Pan detection and panel locking are different problems.

Pause and child lock differ

Bosch document 9001351343, page 34, treats child lock and Pause separately. Its Pause stops cooking times while an alarm timer continues.

Record the control state

Record the triggering action, state name, cooking-zone state and timer type. Do not copy another model’s hold duration or buttons, even within the brand.

Use the matching manual section

Follow the model’s release instruction and check the result. Releasing Pause differs from changing automatic child-lock settings. Send mismatched states or continued non-response to support.

A worked example

Hypothetical case: a separate alarm keeps counting during Pause. The cited manual distinguishes those timers, so this alone is not proof of failed Pause. Identify the current timer first.
