Vacuum dustbag fit: full model and GN/FJM type matter

Similar shape or collar colour does not prove fit. For Miele, match the full vacuum model to the official bag type, then check bundle contents separately.

Keep small model-name differences

Read the full appliance label and manual’s bag type. The currently fitted bag could be incorrect, so it is not the only authority.

Use the official model finder

Miele UK distinguishes Compact C1’s FJM from Classic C1’s GN. The US finder also separates bags and filters by model; confirm market and exact model.

Record the bag order

Compare the official type with the sales item code. Record bag quantity and filter types separately, checking each filter’s model compatibility too.

Bags and filters are separate parts

Do not substitute a similar model name in the search. Missing results or differing types call for support confirmation with label and part information before ordering. Do not force an unmatched collar.

Real example: a GN bag and a HEPA bundle have different fit lists

Miele UK pages checked 2026-10-25. Classic C1 appears in the standard pack’s fit list but not the HEPA bundle’s. A Classic C1 owner should not order the HEPA bundle simply because both names contain GN.

Match the included filter’s part number to your model’s manual as well as matching the bag type. This comparison covers these two UK products, not every regional pack or bundle. It is not a price or filter-performance recommendation.
