Room dehumidification and post-operation internal drying serve different purposes. Identify which function you are selecting before comparing comfort or cost.

What to check first
LG explains that Dry mode may still cool, and low room temperatures can limit dehumidification. Auto Dry dries moisture inside the unit.
A worksheet you can use
A mode name does not prove energy savings. Compare time, settings and temperature/humidity readings under similar room conditions.
| Item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Cool | Room-temperature control |
| Dry | Dehumidification with possible cooling |
| Auto Dry | Internal drying after operation |
| Record | Start/end readings, duration and settings |
Check in this order
- Identify each function in your model manual
- Keep the meter in the same place and record doors/windows
- Record final readings separately from how comfortable you feel
If the problem remains
Dry may not solve a damp room that is already cool. Investigate leaks, mould or continuing high humidity. This guide verifies no electricity-saving percentage.

A worked example
Example: Auto Dry appearing after shutdown is not proof the room is still being dehumidified. Separate normal operation and post-operation drying in your record.
